Testing Center staff offer a variety of proctoring services for NHCC students and the community.
Proctored Testing
- To have your exam proctored, first make arrangements with your home institution. We are able to proctor paper and web-based exams for colleges that are located in the United States.
- Originating institutions must provide all exam materials prior to your test date.
- The student or institution must prepay for return services and provide all necessary supplies.
- Schedule an appointment in RegisterBlast. Appointments must be scheduled 2 business days in advance.
- Select “Proctored testing” and then select if you are testing for “Minnstate” or “Non-Minnstate” institution. Non-Minnesota State institutions will be charged a $40 fee per exam and paid online with the registration. There is no charge for proctoring tests from Minnesota State system institutions
- Choose the amount of time allotted for the exam. You will then be able to see a calendar that shows availability based on our testing hours.
- Provide Institution name, instructor name and class information. Indicate if the test needs a computer to access the test.
- On the day of test allow extra time for checking in and out, and completing paperwork required by your school.
- A Photo ID is required to take any exam.
- Electronic devices including cell phones, personal laptops, PDAs and tablets are not allowed during testing.
- Cheating is prohibited. If cheating occurs, the student will need to stop testing and immediately leave the testing room. A student code of conduct will be filed - Code of Student Conduct for Student Behavior and Academic Honesty.
