Changes during COVID-19 pandemic:

Students must complete a two-part orientation process to register for classes.

1. First, complete online orientation, located in D2L Brightspace. You will need your StarID and password to log in.

  • New Student Online Orientation – students who have graduated from high school or equivalent (GED).
  • PSEO New Student Orientation – students who will be taking classes at NHCC while still classified as a high school student.

2. Second, you will need to participate in a one-on-one virtual registration session (either by phone or Zoom) with an academic advisor. During the registration  session, your advisor will help you select and register for classes, and answer any questions or concerns.

Students must have valid course placement scores or waivers to be eligible for a one-on-one registration session and will not be able to meet with an advisor until they have valid course placement scores or waivers. For more information on course placement, please refer to the Testing Center.

Please contact us at orientation@nhcc.edu or 763-424-0703 if you have questions about orientation.
