Our New Student Orientation has two steps, and it has been created to give you the tools to succeed during your first semester at NHCC.
- Step 1 – Online Orientation. The online orientation has seven modules in total, each with their own quiz that you need to earn 100% on. Then there is a final quiz that you must get 80% on to successfully complete the online orientation.
- Step 2 – Registration Session. At your registration session, you will meet with you Academic Advisor and get assistance registering for classes for the upcoming term.
Orientation is meant to just to get you started. We have so much more information and student support beyond what we can show you in this process, so always check the North Hennepin website for the most up-to-date information or ask any staff member for help.
Remember to regularly login to your Checklist to view your next steps in the enrollment process.
Please note, you will gain access to the New Student Orientation 24 hours after you have been accepted.
Selecting the orientation link will take you to the New Student Orientation. You will need to have your StarID and password (created during the application process) ready to login.

Registration Sessions can be completed in a variety of ways: one-on-one, large group, in-person, or through Zoom.
