Summer Classes at NHCC for High School Students

High School Non-PSEO Application Process

• Submit an online admission application and pay the $20 application fee
  • When prompted, select "first-time, returning, transfer student" - not PSEO student
• Complete the HS Non-PSEO form
• Have your high school counselor email us permission and your transcript to admission@nhcc.edu
  • The permission should state that they are aware you're taking a class with us, paying out of pocket, and that the school will or will not be transferring the NHCC class back to your high school
• Complete course placement
  • Submit the course placement evaluation form to determine if placement testing is needed. Students must have the following scores or placements:
    • Reading Comprehension: 236 or higher OR placement into ADEV 0952
    • Advanced Algebra and Functions: 200 or higher + Developmental Supplemental Test: 9 or higher OR placement into MATH 900
  • The Accuplacer placement test can only be taken ONE time
  • All sections must be taken/passed regardless of intended coursework
• After acceptance, complete online orientation
• After online orientation has been completed, schedule a registration session with the Advising Center
