Anna M. Kuhl Scholarship
The Anna M. Kuhl Scholarship Fund was established for residents of St. Paul or nearby communities who plan to pursue postsecondary education at one of 20 designated Minneapolis-Saint Paul area postsecondary institutions (this includes NHCC). Defenders of Soil, Air, Woods, Waters, and Wildlife Scholarship
The Walter J. Breckenridge Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA) is soliciting scholarship applications from high school seniors and current college students who have a strong interest in and commitment to the environment. Scholarships are awarded annually and are potentially renewable for up to four years. Visit the Breckenridge webpage for more information and to apply.
Golden Valley Crime Prevention Scholarship
The Golden Valley Crime Prevention Fund (GVCPF) started a new initiative in 2022 - scholarships for law enforcement related degrees. The scholarship is intended for students enrolled in a State College, University, Community College, Vocational or Technical Institute. The academic emphasis of the scholarship is coursework in the area of criminal justice, law enforcement, and/or community crime prevention. The GVCPF board will accept applications and award $2,500 a year for a minimum of two years to the candidate of their choice. For more details and to apply visit the GVCPF webpage.
LeadMN Leadership Scholarship
The LeadMN Leadership Scholarship rewards emerging student leaders for their community service and their academic achievement. This scholarship is available to current students attending one of the 37 Minnesota State colleges and universities (this includes NHCC). Visit the LeadMN webpage for more information and to apply.
Minnesota Builders Exchange (MBEX) Scholarship
Minnesota Builders Exchange in partnership with The Builders Group (TBG) Education Foundation, award scholarships annually through the MBEX Scholarship Fund to college and technical school students in construction-related fields. Their scholarships have provided students in the construction industry with awards funded directly by member company donations. Awards are based in part on merit, defined by the committee to include academic achievements as well as a range of other personal accomplishments and experiences. Minnesota Association of Counselors of Color Scholarships
MnACC provides scholarships to students of color in Minnesota attending a MnACC Member Institution (NHCC is a member!). Scholarships range from $500 - $1,000. For more details on the scholarship opportunities and to apply visit the MnACC Scholarships webpage.
MnTech STEM Scholarship
MnTech Foundation STEM scholarships are for Minnesota undergraduate students in science, technology, engineering and math disciplines. These awards include $2,500 and $5,000 awards and can include internship opportunities at MnTech member companies. MnTech Foundation supports diversity in this application and award process. Nellie Stone Johnson Scholarship
The Nellie Stone Johnson Scholarship is available to eligible students who are planning to or currently attend Minnesota State College System. To be eligible, a scholarship applicant must be a person of color, and a union member or be the child, grandchild, or spouse of a union member. Page Grant
For over 30 years, the Page Education Foundation has awarded annual, renewable scholarships to students of color who are pursuing a post-secondary education in Minnesota. Page Grants range from $1,000-$2,500 and can be applied to pay for tuition at any accredited Minnesota college or university. Students who accept a Page Grant make a commitment to volunteer and tutor younger children of color in grades K-8th during the academic year they are awarded the grant. PFund Foundation Scholarship
The PFund Foundation is a local organization based out of Minneapolis. Their scholarship fund is used to provide scholarships to LGBTQ+ learners from the upper Midwest. PFund Foundation scholarships range from $1,000 to $12,000. For more information and to apply, visit the PFund Foundation.
STARBASE Minnesota Scholarship
STARBASE Minnesota, Inc. awards $1,000 scholarships to former participants of STARBASE Minnesota who are actively enrolled in and pursuing post-secondary education or training. For more information and to apply, visit STARBASE's webpage.
Students United Scholarships
Students United offers the following scholarships to Minnesota State community college students: Timothy J. Penny State & Federal Public Service Fellowship, Barbara J. Penny Community Service Scholarship, and the Elizabeth Pegues Scholarship Matching Program for Students of Color. Wallin 2-Year Scholarship
Wallin Education Partners provides high school seniors with 6,000 in scholarship funding and advising and career readiness support. Students who are focused on getting their associate's and entering the workforce are strongly encouraged to apply for this scholarship. However, several scholarships are set aside for students who plan to transfer and earn their bachelor's degree. The priority deadline for Wallin's 2-Year Scholarship is May 15th, and students can apply on Wallin's website.
- Folds of Honor Scholarships
Folds of Honor is a four-star charity providing educational scholarship to the families of military men and women who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty in the US Armed Forces. For more information on their higher education scholarship and to apply, visit The Folds of Honor website.
- NAWIC Founders Scholarship
The NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) Founders' Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) assists in providing the construction industry with trained employees through higher education. Each year they award over $100,000 to worthy recipients in construction-related programs. Award amounts range from $500 to $2,500. Some local chapters award scholarships as well. - Nordson BUILDS Scholarship
The Nordson BUILDS Scholarship program is available to students attending a school near a Nordson facility. NHCC is near one of these facilities! Scholarships range from $2,000 to $10,000. Eligible majors include Engineering, Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Biomedical, engineering related STEM majors, and more! - UNCF Healthcare Workforce Diversity Program Scholarship
This scholarship is available to African American/Black students enrolled in a certification or 2-year associates degree in healthcare-related STEM fields.
