Part 1. Policy Statement
Visitors and minors are welcome on North Hennepin Community College property. However, they are expected to abide by the student code of conduct that applies to students.
Part 2. Definitions
Subpart A. Student
A student is defined as any individual (of any age) enrolled in an official NHCC program.
Subpart B. Official NHCC program
Any course of study sponsored by NHCC, including PSEO, Upward Bound, College Prep or any other program designed for youth who may be under the age of 18.
Subpart C. Visitors
Visitors are defined as anyone other than NHCC personnel, officially enrolled students, members of the Board of Trustees, and members of the NHCC Foundation Board.
Subpart D. Alumni
Alumni include anyone who has ever been an officially enrolled student at NHCC, but who is not currently officially enrolled.
Subpart E. Unaccompanied Minor
For the purposes of this policy, a minor is defined as a child under the age of 12 who is not under the supervision of a responsible adult authorized to act on behalf of the child.
Subpart F. Unaccompanied Youth
For the purposes of this policy, a teen who is not under the supervision of a responsible adult authorized to act on behalf of the child.
Subpart G. Members of the campus Community
For the purposes of this policy, members of the NHCC community are individuals who are employed by the college, are officially enrolled students, are members of the Board of Trustees, or members of the NHCC Foundation Board.
