
North Hennepin Community College is proud to showcase and celebrate outstanding artwork created by students taking studio arts courses and graphic design students produced during the academic year at the Student Art Show.
NHCC Student Art Show Exhibit Schedule
- Monday, March 31-Saturday, May 3, 2025
- Located in the Joseph Gazzuolo Gallery at NHCC in the Fine Arts Center (FAC 135)
- Join us for the Reception on Thursday, April 17, from 12pm-1:00pm in the Gallery.
- Art Gallery Hours: Open 8am-8pm Monday-Friday, Saturday 8am-4pm. Closed on Sunday.
The art show exhibition is free and open to the public.
Judging & Awards
Current students taking art classes can submit up to four entries of artwork created while enrolled at NHCC. Faculty will serve as judges, reviewing an artwork’s merit based on authenticity, skill, and the artist’s ability to make a meaningful message. First, second and honorable mention will be awarded in Digital Art, Digital Photography, 2-D and 3-D Design, Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design (Packaging, Branding, Web Design, Posters, Illustration, Typography), Web Design, Black and White Photography, Painting, Mixed Media, Video, and more.
Students who submit art for this show will have the opportunity to receive a People’s Choice Award. The People's Choice Award will be given to one artwork from the NHCC Student Art Show. NHCC students, employees and community members are invited to cast their votes during the first week of the show, Monday, March 31-Monday, April 7. Please note, one vote per person.
Reception & Awards Ceremony
Just a reminder, that the reception and awards ceremony for this art show will be held on Thursday, April 17, 12-1 p.m. in the Joseph Gazzuolo Fine Arts Gallery (FAC 135). The reception is free and includes refreshments and cookies.
