We are excited to be launching a new program and two new certificates at NHCC this fall! Our certificates can be completed in two or three semesters and our new AS degree was specially designed to transfer seamlessly. Get all the info you need, below! 

Cybersecurity Certificate 

Overview: Our new Cybersecurity Certificate will prepare students to safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems. Students in this program can expect to learn through hands-on, project-based learning, and gain skills in protecting systems with redundancies and access protocols, specialized software, and security auditing to identify abnormalities and security vulnerabilities. Total credits required: 31. 

Delivery Method: Hybrid and Online. 

Time to Complete: This Cybersecurity Certificate program can be completed in three semesters.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate 

Overview: Our new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate is designed for participants to increase their knowledge and skills necessary to apply strategies for enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in their professional practices and personal lives. This certificate will address foundational concepts such as strategies for recognizing unconscious bias, cultural competency, gender equality and intersectionality. Upon completion of all the classes, learners should be able to apply tactics to counteract racism within their environment, create an affirming environment, recruit, and retain a diverse and inclusive team, as well as implement a strategic plan for DEI. Total credits required: 10. 

Delivery Method: In-Person and Online. 

Time to Complete: The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate program can be completed in one or two semesters.

Public Administration AS Degree 

Overview: Our new Public Administration AS Degree is a great option for students interested in professional careers or advancement in government and non-profit agencies, and is designed to transfer seamlessly to Metropolitan State University's Human Services Leadership and Administration bachelor's degree program. This program prepares students for entry-level careers in public administration, and through a partnership with Metropolitan State University, provides on-going training in each stage of the career journey. Public administration coursework includes basic principles, concerns and methods of public services, public policy analysis, public finance and budgeting, ethics, communication and public relations. Total credits required: 60. 

Delivery Method: In-Person, Hybrid and Online. 

Time to Complete: The Public Administration AS degree program can be completed in four semesters.
