March 17, 2021 – Anti-Asian Violence
Anti-Asian violence has unfortunately continued to see an increase across our nation in the past few months. Last night in Atlanta, there was a shooting which left eight people dead, most of them of Asian descent. All lives lost due to violence is an evil in our nation which we must work to rid ourselves of. As President of NHCC, I acknowledge the hate and violence against the Asian community and as such, I publicly denounce all forms of Anti-Asian violence. As a college, we stand firm in our commitment to racial equity and racial healing. We stand in solidarity with our Asian community members and I extend my deepest condolences to the families of those whose lives were taken away.
