This course will help prepare you for the academic skills you will need to succeed in college.

This course also reviews North American English in terms of vowels and consonants, syllables and word stress.

In both lectures and presentations, global perspectives are highlighted. The course also reviews tone, register, rhythm, stress, and emphasis as critical elements in delivering a speech.

This course will provide flexibility in offering an in-depth review of topics of immediate importance and topical interest. These topics will go beyond the introductory courses in examining specific aspects of the subject matter.
