Testing Center staff offer a variety of proctoring services for NHCC students and the community.
NHCC Instructor Testing
The Testing Center provides NHCC students a place to make up missed exams. Arrangements must be made with your instructor before scheduling with the Testing Center.
- Obtain permission and make arrangements with you instructor.
- If you get help from Access services and need special testing support, show your instructor the accommodation letter before you set up your first test.
Follow the RegisterBlast link in your courses D2L page to register for an appointment.
- On the day of test, allow extra time for checking in and out
- Your instructor will indicate an exam due date. Exams will not be provided beyond this date.
- A photo ID is required to take an exam
MN State College Testing
- To have your exam proctored, first make arrangements with your home institution. We are able to proctor paper and web-based exams for colleges that are located in the United States.
- Originating institutions must provide all exam materials prior to your test date.
- The student or institution must prepay for return services and provide all necessary supplies.
- Schedule an appointment in RegisterBlast. Appointments must be scheduled 2 business days in advance.
- Select “Proctored testing” and then select if you are testing for “Minnstate” institution. There is no charge for proctoring tests from Minnesota State system institutions
- Choose the amount of time allotted for the exam. You will then be able to see a calendar that shows availability based on our testing hours.
- Provide Institution name, instructor name and class information. Indicate if the test needs a computer to access the test.
- On the day of test allow extra time for checking in and out, and completing paperwork required by your school.
- A Photo ID is required to take any exam.
- Electronic devices including cell phones, personal laptops, PDAs and tablets are not allowed during testing.
- Cheating is prohibited. If cheating occurs, the student will need to stop testing and immediately leave the testing room. A student code of conduct will be filed - Code of Student Conduct for Student Behavior and Academic Honesty.
