The Food Cupboard is open to all NHCC students, including students enrolled in our University Center. This resource provides ready-to-eat food, staples, as well as supplementary items such as toothpaste, shampoo, and other hygiene products. We are happy to help students access other community resources as well.
To use the Food Cupboard, bring your student ID to CC 235. When you arrive, you will be signed in and can select items from the shelves. Use of the Food Cupboard is free and confidential.
The Food Cupboard is staffed limited hours during the week, and when volunteers are available. If you stop by when it is not staffed, come to the Diversity & Equity Center during office hours and someone will assist you. If you are unable to make it during regular business hours, stop by the Public Safety office during open building hours and someone will be able to assist you.

Donations are a vital part of ensuring the success of the Food Cupboard, and are greatly appreciated.

Non-perishable donations can be dropped off at the Diversity and Equity Center, located in the Campus Center, Room 101, or in the bins located in the Campus Center cafeteria.
Suggested food items include:
- Infant formula
- Boxed cereal
- Granola/Snack bars
- Instant and regular oatmeal
Suggested supplementary items include:
- Dish soap
- Laundry soap
- Soap/body wash
- Feminine hygiene products
Volunteers allow the Food Cupboard to provide great service to as many students as possible. We wouldn't be here without you!
