Summary:
The Executive Assistant to the Provost works directly with the Provost to provide high-level, complex organizational and administrative support in a confidential manner.  The Executive Assistant manages the Office of the Provost and provides professional support for designated activities of the Office of the Provost.  This position acts as backup to the President’s Executive 2 administrative assistant.  This position is directly responsible for managing special projects and events hosted by the Provost. 
 
This position exists to provide executive assistance to the Provost and manage office operations. Executive assistance includes managing schedules and meetings, creating agendas and minutes, monitoring budgets, gathering information to support decision-making, coordinating communications with other administrative units and organizations, and planning and executing special events. Managing office operations includes documenting division processes, managing core division documents, providing secondary support for curriculum management and FWM, managing student recognition programs, support director of partnership and collaboration, providing work direction for the student workers and academic assistants, and managing academic petitions.

Summary:
This position’s purpose is to provide financial expertise to North Hennepin Community College by applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures ensuring compliance with all MinnState, federal and state regulations. This position will provide day-to-day financial record maintenance in compliance with accepted accounting principles, policies and procedures, will direct and complete financial activities for grant funding and reporting and preparation for the financial audit. This position will also ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses, assist in identifying weaknesses in the business practices and internal controls of the Business Office and work with the Business Manager in designing and implementing improvements. This position is the Lead Worker for the Business Office.
