"When you give, it is way better than just receiving all the time. The happiness you have is forever because you know that you impact someone's life. I think giving or supporting someone to go for education is really good because when they succeed, it is also yours. You push them forward; you give them the support they need to succeed. The happiness they have is also your own happiness. Receiving this scholarship is going to change my life." - Cecile Ketchaya, scholarship recipient (pictured at far right).

What We Do

Our mission is to create access to quality educational opportunities by energizing and mobilizing community, college and alumni resources on behalf of North Hennepin Community College (NHCC). We aim to re-energize and transform students' lives through positive experiences at NHCC. We are grateful for every donation as they make a college education more accessible for our students. Thanks to our generous supporters, the foundation has been helping students succeed since 1981. Click here to read the 2016 Annual Report.

Why Your Gift Matters

  • 46% of NHCC students are considered low income
  • State funding continues to decrease, while college costs continue to rise
  • 4 out of 5 reasons students cite for dropping out of college are financial

Join us in Changing Lives

You have the opportunity to change the lives of NHCC students. Scholarships provide students access to an education which can better their lives and the lives of those around them. We also provide emergency assistance for circumstances that could keep a student from completing their courses like a lost textbook or flat tire.

Your tax-deductible gift of $50, $100, $500, $1,000 or whatever you are able to give means more students like Cecile can focus on their education and in turn, change the lives of others.
