Student Health Clinic at NHCC

An affordable and convenient on-site clinic is now available to NHCC students. Services are provided by Fairview Clinics, and includes a variety of coverage with no out-of-pocket costs to students.

Dedicated care team

A certified physician assistant or nurse practitioner from Fairview Clinics will provide care three days a week. They are supported by the full care team at Fairview Clinics – Brooklyn Park. If you have a more serious health concern, you’ll be referred to the appropriate provider or specialist.

Walk-in care

When you’re ill or injured, just walk-in to the clinics for care. No appointment is needed. Services include:

Minor Illnesses

  • Allergy symptoms
  • Common cold
  • Upper respiratory conditions
  • Ear pain
  • Headache
  • Heartburn
  • Mono
  • Pink eye and styes
  • Sinus infections
  • Strep throat

Minor Injuries

  • Bug bites and stings
  • Burns - minor 
  • Sprains, strains and joint pain
  • Suture and staple removal
  • Tick bites
  • Wounds and blisters

Skin Conditions

  • Acne
  • Athlete’s foot
  • Cold and canker sores
  • Eczema and dry skin
  • Impetigo
  • Rash
  • Sunburn
  • Swimmer’s itch

Vaccinations

Lab Tests

Lab tests include mono, influenza, urinary tract infection and pregnancy.
