Register to Graduate
In order to graduate and participate in the NHCC Commencement Ceremony, you will need to complete a graduation application. This must be done through your university, and deadlines may vary.

Cap & Gown
Graduates are expected to wear a cap, gown and tassel during the NHCC Commencement Ceremony. Contact your university on how to obtain these items. You will likely need to pay for your own cap and gown, and bring them with you to the NHCC Commencement Ceremony.
If you require disability accommodations related to participation in the NHCC Commencement Ceremony (including special seating for yourself or guests, sign language interpretation, personal audio amplification, etc.), please contact Tom Lynch, Director of Access Services, at 763-493-0556 or TLynch@nhcc.edu by May 5, 2017.
Graduates should arrive (remember to bring your cap and gown) to the Minneapolis Convention Center no later than 6:30pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. We recommend arriving between 4:30 - 6pm. We will direct you on where to check in, and line up for the processional. You must be in line by 7pm, and the processional will begin at 7:15pm.Your guests should take their seats no later than 7:15 pm.
Ceremony & Official Photos
The NHCC Commencement Ceremony will begin at 7:30pm and is expected to last 90 minutes. As you cross the stage, Grad Images will take a photo of you. Click here for more information.
Diplomas (the printed, ceremonial document that is presented with a cover) are not handed out at the NHCC Commencement Ceremony as final grades and graduation requirements will not have been verified in time. Contact your university for more information about receiving your diploma.

What Not to Bring
The Minneapolis Convention Center does not allow balloons, so please let family and friends know. Also be aware there is no room to store personal belongings (purse, keys, phone, etc.). You will be responsible for your own belongings.
