Concurrent Enrollment

North Hennepin Community College’s Concurrent Enrollment program works closely with partner high schools to offer college level classes at the high school, while receiving college credit.

If you are a current high school student and attending a partner high school, you may be eligible to enroll in Concurrent Enrollment if you meet the following criteria:

  • Junior, with a class rank in the top one-third or 66th percentile of your graduating class or
  • Senior, with a class rank in the top one-half or 50th percentile of your graduating class or
  • Overall GPA of 2.0 or higher for courses that do not require a prerequisite or college level placement or
  • Submit a favorable recommendation from a designated high school official

The process is:

1. Complete an online concurrent enrollment application (hopefully hyperlinked to our online application, and to be listed under PSEO Admissions)
2. Submit your official high school transcript
3. Take the Accuplacer test if needed

NHCC is currently working on becoming accredited through NACEP. In order to do this, we need to adhere to the standards set forth by NACEP. These standards can be found here.
